Andreas Hotea - Aviation

Introduction

Aviation is my big passion.
I am the proud guardian of a U.S. Navy Boeing Stearman N2S-3 (Registration # N54173), built in 1942, completely restored in 1994 by Leland Searles in Seattle, WA.
This aircraft was originally used as a military trainer in New orleans during WWII, and is the ideal aircraft nowadays for flying without extensive electronic aids. The airplane is in great condition with a very few modifications compared to the way she was when built in 1942. I am using her for Formation Flying, Aerobatic Flying and taking up passengers for short trips. Check Stearman-Aero, LLC for more information, if you are interested.

For a few years I have been restoring with lots of help from friends a Clarkat tug, also from the 1940s; it is about to be painted (Nov 2012) and should soon be pulling the yellow Stearman around the airport in Hollister, CA.

My interest for aviation began when I was a kid; I tried to become a pilot with Austrian Airlines, but it did not work out; When I moved to the States, I was encouraged to get started on my private pilot's license, which I did. No regrets, whatsoever.
